One day a new employee went to the Human Resources Manager and said “Sir, I’m not interested in coming to the office anymore.”
HR: But why?
Employee: Ah! I can speculate many employees speaking badly about other Employees at their back , few of them looking at their fellow employees in a wrong way, there are a lot of things that I can prove you, is wrong in this Office.
HR : OK. But before you go,may I ask you to complete a task ?
Employee: Yes, Sure.
HR: Take a glass of water filled upto the brim and walk three times around the office area without spilling a drop on the floor.
[He agreed and walked three times around the office.]
Then he reached HR saying that he is done with it.
HR: When you were walking around the Office, did you see any employee speaking badly about another Employee? Any Gossips? Any disturbances?
Employee: ( thinking) NO.
HR: Do you know why?
Employee: No. Why?
HR: Just because, you were focused on the glass, to make sure you didn’t tip it and spill any water. The same goes with our life. When our focus is on our priorities, we don’t have time to see the mistakes of others.
Moral of the story.
Concentrate on your priorities and goals rather than being distracted to the unhealthy surroundings.
